About this Course

Learn cluster administration with real-world system administrator concepts and practices, including planning, installation and configuration, load balancing and tuning diagnosing deployment issues, performance, setting up a Hadoop cluster with direct access NFS, snapshots, monitoring cluster health, resolving hardware issues and troubleshooting job errors.

This section covers how to configure cluster users, topology, and volumes once the cluster has been installed. It also covers the basics of job logs and scheduling jobs.

Prerequisites

  • Completion of ESS 100, ESS 101, ESS 200ADM 200
  • Basic Hadoop knowledge and intermediate linux knowledge
  • Experience using a text editor such as vi
  • Terminal program installed; familiarity with command-line options such as mv, cp, ssh, grep, cd, and useradd
