About this course

This instructor-led course is designed specifically for MapR Partners. The course focuses on system administrator concepts and practices, including planning, installation and configuration, deployment issues, performance, setting up a Hadoop cluster with direct access NFS, snapshots, monitoring cluster health, resolving hardware issues and troubleshooting job errors. In addition, you will learn about MapR DB, MapR FS, and MapR Streams. Offered as a compressed, hands-on training format, exclusively for MapR Partners. There are several pre-training courses to complete online before the classroom event (see prerequisites below). This is not a public course. You must be an invited partner to enroll.

  • Basic to intermediate Linux knowledge, including
    • The ability to use a text editor, such as vi
    • Familiarity with basic command-line options such as mv, cp, ssh, grep, cd, and useradd
